The Monkey Says: Unagi Frenzy

Mom had set in mind to have Japanese for dinner as we walked along Gardens. Recorded is the loss Yo! Sushi had to face because they didn't have grilled unagi to satiate unagi cravings. Really, how can a Japanese restaurant function without grilled eel!! With the help of the F&B booklet, three floors up later, there we were completely amazed at the menu of Sushi Zanmai.

Stamina Roll; simply delectable. (RM12.80)
Omelette and cucumber rolled, and topped with grilled eel. Served with a squeeze of mayonnaise.

Classic California roll. (RM4.80)
Mediocre, although the avocados were lovely! They served my seaweed soft :( Angry angry angry but I suppose it's travelling through the oesophagus at this very moment :D

Salmon Teriyaki. (RM12.80)
Marinated well and salmon tastes great as usual :)

Soft shell crab.

Aside from the orders in the pictures, present was also a plate of Agedashi Tofu topped with grilled eel, a bowl of fragrant rice, and a scoop of green tea ice-cream (RM6.00). Bill totaled up to 80 bucks, a complete steal! I read once that Sushi Zanmai was a fine Japanese restaurant, but besides the overpriced sushi, everything else is affordable :)

The ambience is very much similar to that of Sakae Sushi, minus the monitors and mouses. A pretty ideal place for casual luncheons and dinners.
