Despite slaving the night (and morning) away drowned in assignments, I can honestly say I don't think it can get any better than this. With nurnerous wishes and calls, and one very special serenade, I can finally say I'm in my happy place. What expectations? It's so much better than anything I could ever expect. Watch me as I skip my day away, without any sleep, and a dreading flu and cough to boost. Hell yeah.

So much to look forward to, so much to accomplish, so many goals. All is well, and I really can't complain.

It's back to all that Telepopmusik, Late Night Alumni and Cafe del Mar playlist. Struck me at a most interesting time, playing in Mel's car. Didn't know anyone else who knew about them aside from the 2006 gang, or rather haven't heard any of these good tunes playing on any laptop or in anyone's car in quite sometime.

Dinner with Nell (albeit eating only done on my part) at a quaint little place, trotted over to Castle where Mel came by, and an impromptu RedBox session with the most amazing drive listening to PYT! Hahah. It wasn't long before Air Supply robbed us of our lungs, a synchronised 98 degrees dance, and the obligatory Backstreet Boys.

It can't get any better than this :)

The Monkey Says: For Once In My Life

Up on the highlands, I was finally surprised on my birthday last September.

An hour before the clock stroke 12 that night, we took the cable car down, from Genting back to Awana to meet up with the rest of our classmates who were already in the hotel.

Fourty minutes till 12, we boarded the last shuttle bus that was incredibly full, and sang along to songs that were played on the radio.

Fifteen minutes. Arrived at Awana, but was brought to walk around. The two of us sat by the pool, smoked our cigarettes, talked shit and listened to people sing along to the karaoke.

Four minutes and we walked to the elevator that led to our room. He knocked on the door, and a classmate came to open it with complete darkness behind him. The singing began, the candles on the cake, and camera flashes lit the room.

That was not my surprise.

They were.

As my classmates serenaded me to the birthday song, I could not miss the blinding flash from an SLR.
After the song was done, and I blew all 18 candles on my cake (in one breath), a classmate came up to me with a container that held six cupcakes and said,

"Here, Belle, your friends made this for you."
"My friends? Who are my friends?"

Out came four (out of six) of my closest friends, grinning. The SLR flash was from Chee Weng's camera and I blindly missed it, thinking it was just a classmate who brought along his SLR.

Completely moved, I screamed and then proceeded to cry. So as you can see,

Crying

Crying

Crying

Still crying

& crying some more

The three (out of six) satisfied faces

and one (out of two) accomplice.

I love you guys

The Monkey Says: Up Up & Away!

The only positive agenda in the event of an inhabiting sickness in the name of dry cough is the consumption of Benadryl. Yumm :)

Mommy was such a sport last night. I went to the living room looking for her and told her that I wanted McFlurry ice cream. It was about a little past midnight. Fast forward a whole lotta nagging about driving at night, making my cough worse, she drove me out to the nearest drivethru in the end. Whee!

My lovely seven are taking me out to shop for my birthday present! Because they know how picky I am when it come to material possessions. Also, because I clearly told them there was no point of them getting me something I didn't need thus initially the plan of creating a piggy bank that read:

"Isabelle's Birthday Fund!"
Clueless about what to get her? Just put in money :)

Is it not a brilliant idea :D

I woke up to an electronic kiss, had last night's chicken porridge for lunch, smoked my last cigarette for dessert and am in the company of my favourite pillow. I can't imagine being any happier. At least, not till that 11am bus arrives on Saturday :)
