The Monkey Says: Aeon Now, Aeon Ago

So it was SAB's International Understanding Day last Saturday and I must say, I was having second thoughts at first. Probably because I was alone and that the event started an hour or so late.

The crowd before the event began.

It started off a little loud. 2 bands as an opening act, each playing 3 songs. Just before the dance performance, emcees tried getting the crowd geared up. Trying to get people off their seats to dance in front with all the smoke and music.

Boy, was it my unlucky day or what.

Male emcee stopped by my row and suggested "How about the girl from SBU?!".
I refused to turn and look at him and was still in denial that perhaps there was another SBU girl around, but the female emcee then stepped right in front of me, asked for my name and shoved the microphone in front of my face.
I had nowhere to run. Only to be pulled out after male emcee got the crowd cheering for me to get off my seat.
