It was a delay, oh how could impatient people like us bear with this!
The plane has landed ... yet, where were you?
Forever we would call it, but out you came. Frizzy and round, just how I remembered you.

Nocturnal we were, dear sandman, where were you?
Nights were days and days were nights, even for I.
Loud and lit, the house was and nights that they weren't, where were you?
Time was spent together nonetheless, just how I wanted it to be.

Jokes were shared, songs were introduced but others wondered where were you?
A party, a meet up, was finally done to end the questioning.
I missed you on the days you weren't here, where were you?
If you didn't know, I'm always glad when you're around.

And now, we're back at our reunion point where I once questioned, where were you?
You came, but there you go again.
In a plane, in an airport, where are you?
Wherever you are, home is where you never left.
