The Monkey Says: You

Recurring in my mind incessantly, the thought of a perfect picture caught in the presence of the sunrise.
To curb our hunger, you drive in the car with overflowing blissful pasts; sharing our momentous first kiss. Reaching the ever familiar drive-thru, those masculine fingers I long to hold shifted away from the steering wheel. Those eyes then lock with mine, as your hand slowly reach for my short fingers. Your gaze weakens into a smile, one so familiar to me and I can't help but escape our little silent moment with a smile as I shift my eyes to our intervened fingers lovingly placed on my thighs. Drawing closer to my seat, you give me the lightest peck on my forehead, as though ensuring doubts, which more often than not frequent my confused mind, need not occur no longer.

"Ice cream?"

I look up into those big single lid eyes I fell in love with and nodded with glee.
The epitome of my sincere smiles - you, and ice cream.
